IndyPL Appoints New Director of Public Services

The Indianapolis Public Library Board of Trustees has appointed John Helling as Director of Public Services. Helling will direct the services and programming of the Library’s current 23 branch system, develop public service policy and community engagement activity, and participate in strategic planning and assessment as a member of the Library’s Executive Committee.

Michael I. Crowther, CEO of the Indianapolis Zoological Society and founder of The Indianapolis Prize, will be presented with the 2019 International Citizen of the Year Award by The International Center at a dinner and program on October 8, 2019.
