Leadership Exchange 2008
Presented by Veolia Transportation
Purpose
The Greater Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce has assembled a delegation of 50 business and community leaders to participate in the 2008 Leadership Exchange in Denver, Colorado.
Scheduled for October 19-21, the purpose of the Leadership Exchange is to convene leaders of Greater Indianapolis to share civic experiences with another successful community. The Leadership Exchange will foster relationships among participants to address our civic challenges and opportunities. Attendees will interact with key policy leaders in identified fields to discuss policy development, strategies, best practices and encountered obstacles.
Why Denver?
Denver, a city of similar age and size, has a national reputation as a forward-thinking community with many of the same attributes of the Indianapolis community, including a progressive citizenry, a dynamic mass transit system, a thriving downtown, a strong arts community, leadership in environmental protection, growing downtown housing, regional cooperation and strong economic development initiatives.
Who will attend?
Led by former Indianapolis Chamber Board Chairman J. Albert Smith, participants of the Leadership Exchange include Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard, leaders from business, higher education, not-for-profits and government. Not only will this trip bring knowledge to the participating leadership team, it will strengthen professional relationships between leaders who work together in our region.
