Leadership
The Greater Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce leadership team represents a combined experience of more than 50 years in human resources, economic development, public affairs, finance, sales, and marketing.
Scott Miller
Scott W. Miller is president of the Greater Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce. Miller joined the Chamber in December 2011. Prior to coming to the Chamber, Miller served as CEO of Develop Indy where he was responsible for setting the overall direction for the organization, as well as oversight of projects and business outreach in Marion County. Before joining Develop Indy, Miller was president of Mainscape, a commercial landscaping company. As president, he was responsible for a staff of more than 500 and grew the company’s revenues from $6 million to $43 million in a 6-year period.
Miller coaches girls varsity basketball at Guerin Catholic High School and serves on the boards of EmployIndy and Young Presidents Organization Indiana Chapter. Miller hails from Freeport, IL and attended Cedarville University, in Cedarville, OH, graduating with an accounting degree. Following his graduation, he obtained his CPA and came to Indianapolis to work for a CPA firm.
Susan Blevins
Susan L. Blevins is Executive Assistant to the president of the Greater Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce. Susan joined the Chamber in January 2012. Prior to coming to the Chamber, Blevins served as Manager of Executive Services to the CEO of Develop Indy.
Blevins serves as the Membership Chair for the International Association of Administrative Professionals, Indianapolis 500 Chapter as well as serves on the its board of directors . Susan hails from Edinburgh, IN and attended the University of Indianapolis.
Tammie Barney
Tammie Barney has served as senior vice president of policy and organizational development since 2006. Before coming to the Chamber, she served as Midwest Manager of Supplier Diversity for Cincinnati-based Duke Energy. In her 16 years at Duke, she developed an extensive background in the fields of human resources, economic inclusion, economic development and public and community affairs. Tammie is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati and Cincinnati’s School for Creative and Performing Arts. She is active in the community and serves on the board of directors for The International Center of Indiana, the Indiana Legal Foundation, The Indianapolis Cultural Trail, Boy Scouts, and Indiana Internet, among others.
Donna Marino
Donna Marino brings more than 25 years of sales, marketing, and communications experience to the Chamber. She has served as senior vice president of sales and marketing since 2009. Donna enjoys the role and variety the Chamber plays in creating community, building relationships, engaging in civic issues, and contributing to making Indianapolis a great place to live and do business. Donna has worked for renowned Fortune 500 companies including Eastman Kodak Company, Rubbermaid, Roche Diagnostics. She also spent some time at an advertising agency where she served clients such as Hallmark, Kodak, and worked on the 1988 Olympics. Donna moved to Indianapolis in 1997, intending to stay for a short while, however, she quickly came to call Indianapolis “home” and became rooted in the community, enjoying the quality of life, affordability, and Midwestern values.
Vandana Kapur
Chief Financial Officer Vandana Kapur came to the Chamber in November 2010. She has more than 15 years of accounting and finance experience in public accounting. Vandana previously worked for KPMG, Andersen, and PricewaterhouseCoopers in the areas of business consulting, internal audit and assurance services. She also spent three years working for a $500 million public company in Scottsdale, Arizona, where she served as Corporate Accounting Manager. Her husband, originally from Indianapolis, started an IT business here, to serve small and mid-size businesses, thus bringing her to the Circle City. She says the Chamber is a vibrant, dynamic and progressive organization that empowers individuals working here to make a difference to this community. Vandana received a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Bombay, India and earned a chartered accountant certification from the Indian Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
