Elected officials want to know what their constituents think; candidates for elective office are eager to learn from the people they hope to represent. HobNob, presented by
Baker & Daniels LLP and
State Farm Insurance, the premier political event in Central Indiana, gives you the opportunity to speak with them on a one-to-one basis.
HobNob connects you with political candidates in election years and with elected officials in non-election years. The atmosphere is social and casual, but the results are enormously important to you and the rest of the central Indiana business community.
We recently added a new feature that proved to be valuable and informative: an afternoon policy conference, held immediately before the traditional HobNob reception.
The conference focuses on issues and initiatives vital to Indianapolis, such as infrastructure, education and workforce, economic growth, and transportation. Specific conference topics are being developed for 2010.
Our next HobNob gathering is scheduled for:
Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010
1-5 p.m. Policy conference, featuring Keynote Address by
Richard Longworth, author of "Caught in the Middle"
5-8 p.m. Reception: Meet the Candidates
Indiana State Museum, 650 W. Washington St.
Cost:
Conference: $55 (members and non-members)
Reception: $15 (members and non-members) at the door.
