A BAC is a Tool for Success in Business Advocacy

A natural complement to a successful business advocacy program is an effective political action program. The purpose of the BAC is to ensure that the Chamber participates in the political process, offering support to the campaigns of those candidates who share a business orientation and commitment to economic growth and prosperity. The BAC links Chamber members to candidates and elected officials through appropriate, documented political channels. In essence, the BAC is a vehicle for Chamber members to join with other like-minded businesses and provide leadership for the Central Indiana business community to achieve desired political action.

A BAC is a Separate Entity

The Greater Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce's Business Advocacy Committee (BAC) operates separately from the Chamber. It is a separate legal entity and has its own board of trustees. Funding for the BAC comes solely from contributions and donations. It is governed by the election laws of the state of Indiana.
